The Kangal is a giant mastiff breed strong enough to fend off predators like wolves and bears. Originating from Turkestan, this large shepherd dog can be a family’s best friend or worst nightmare, depending on upbringing and environment. Kangals are protective but usually gentle when calm. Their bite force is said to reach up to 743 psi, and they will defend themselves if they sense danger.
